Just Starting out? Uncover the catalyst that propelled Hanumankind into the world of acting.
HMK’s shot at fame earlier this year with the release of his English chart-topper Big Dawgs had everyone googling Sooraj Cherukat. Yet this time, he returns not as rapper Hanumankind but as actor Sooraj. With the ongoing buzz surrounding the rapper, it is no wonder that he is also about to make ripples with his role. In his words, “We didn’t start out planning to write music for the movie. It was more about me playing a character, but if we do end up creating a song for it, that would be amazing. If not, I’m just grateful for the opportunity to try.”
HMK believes that it was the music video for Big Dawgs that served the double purpose of becoming his audition tape. Given Sooraj’s passionate approach towards the character, he has been cast to portray the role of Anurag Kashyap’s son Bheera in the upcoming film.

Joining the likes of Anurag Kashyap in this cinematic adventure are a bunch of talented folks including: Darshana Rajendran, Win C, The Baby Jean, Vishnu Agasthya, Surabhi Lakshmi, Ramzan Muhammed, Vijayaraghavan and Unimaya Prasad.
Debuting a script by three geniuses: Syam Pushkaran, Dileesh Pothan and Sharaf-Suhas, the title itself hints at a action-filled thriller or adventure movie. Their collaboration on Rifle Club promises to deliver a script rich with nuance and bristling with intensity.
